Itinerary
There’s something truly unforgettable about taking a hot air balloon ride over Luxor. Before dawn, our representative will meet you in the hotel lobby to begin your Luxor day experience. From there, you’ll be escorted to the West Bank of the Nile—home to some of Egypt’s most iconic ancient sites—for one of the most remarkable activities the city has to offer.
Before boarding, you’ll enjoy a selection of hot or cold drinks while preparations are made. Then, a short ferry ride will take you across the Nile to the launch area, where your balloon awaits. As you gently ascend into the sky, Luxor unfolds beneath you—the world’s largest open-air museum, the legendary city of Thebes.
For about an hour, you’ll float peacefully above lush riverbanks, the winding Nile, and the breathtaking landscapes of the West Bank. From the sky, you’ll witness the Valley of the Kings, resting place of the pharaohs of the New Kingdom, and the majestic Temple of Hatshepsut nestled against towering cliffs. The silence of the early morning air and the golden light of sunrise create a scene that stays with you forever.
Although balloon flights operate daily, advance confirmation is highly recommended. The journey typically lasts between 45 minutes and one hour, depending on weather conditions and wind speed.
At the end of your memorable hot air balloon adventure, you will be comfortably transferred back to your hotel or Nile cruise.
Hot air ballooning must be done early in the morning to capture the first rays of sunrise and enjoy the incredible views of the Nile Valley, the desert, and Luxor’s ancient treasures.
