Itinerary
Experience Oman in 7 Days / 6 Nights
Upon arrival at Muscat International Airport, guests will be welcomed and transferred to the hotel. After a short rest, the exploration of Oman’s capital begins.
The first highlight is the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, one of the largest and most impressive mosques in the region. Visitors will admire its magnificent architecture, giant chandelier, handwoven Persian carpet, and peaceful atmosphere that reflects the spiritual and cultural identity of Oman.
Next, guests visit the vibrant Mutrah Fish Market, where local fishermen sell the daily catch, offering a genuine glimpse into traditional Omani life. A short walk leads to the historic Mutrah Souk, famous for its labyrinth of narrow alleys filled with silver jewelry, frankincense, spices, textiles, and handicrafts.
In the afternoon, the tour continues along Muscat’s scenic waterfront to see the Al Alam (Flag) Palace, the ceremonial palace of His Majesty the Sultan. The day ends with visits to the historic Al Jalali and Al Mirani Forts, built in the 16th century, offering spectacular views over the harbor and the city. Overnight in Muscat.
After breakfast, the journey continues along the coastal road toward eastern Oman.
The first stop is the breathtaking Bimah Sinkhole, a natural limestone crater filled with turquoise water. Guests may relax or enjoy a refreshing swim in this unique geological wonder.
The tour proceeds to Wadi Tiwi, a lush green valley with terraced plantations, flowing streams, and traditional villages. A walk through the wadi offers a peaceful experience surrounded by nature.
Arriving in the coastal town of Sur, guests enjoy lunch featuring fresh seafood. Sur is historically known for its maritime heritage, and a visit to a traditional dhow factory reveals the centuries-old craft of wooden boat building. A scenic viewpoint overlooking the coastline completes the visit.
In the late afternoon, the adventure shifts to the desert as guests travel to Wahiba Sands. Enjoy an exciting 4x4 dune bashing experience, followed by arrival at a traditional desert camp. The evening features a delicious Bedouin-style dinner, cultural entertainment, and an unforgettable night under the stars.
After breakfast in the desert, the journey continues through the dramatic Al Hajar Mountains toward Nizwa.
Upon arrival, guests explore the lively Nizwa Souk, famous for silverware, pottery, dates, and traditional Omani crafts. The tour continues to the iconic Nizwa Fort, known for its massive circular tower and panoramic views over the oasis city.
After lunch at a local restaurant, the tour proceeds to Bahla Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Oman’s largest mud-brick fortresses. The journey then continues to Jabrin Castle, renowned for its beautifully painted ceilings, intricate wooden doors, and historical significance as a center of learning. Overnight in Nizwa.
This day focuses on authentic village life and cultural heritage.
The tour begins in Al Hamra, one of Oman’s oldest villages, known for its traditional mud-brick houses. A visit to Bait Al Safa Living Museum provides insight into Omani traditions, customs, clothing, food preparation, and daily life in earlier times.
After lunch, guests visit Misfat Al Abriyeen, a picturesque mountain village famous for its falaj irrigation system, stone houses, and terraced agriculture. Walking through the narrow pathways offers breathtaking views and a sense of timeless tranquility. Return to Nizwa for overnight.
After breakfast, the tour heads to Birkat Al Mouz, a historic village surrounded by banana plantations and ancient irrigation channels. Guests can explore the ruins and learn about Oman’s traditional water management systems.
The journey continues to Nakhl Fort, dramatically perched on a rocky outcrop and offering insight into the region’s defensive history. After lunch, guests visit Ain Thawarah Hot Springs, a natural oasis shaded by palm trees, perfect for relaxation and photography.
In the late afternoon, return to Muscat for overnight.
The final day begins with a visit to the Bait Al Zubair Museum, showcasing Omani heritage, traditional weapons, costumes, jewelry, and household artifacts.
Guests then enjoy a farewell lunch at a selected restaurant in Muscat. The journey continues to the magnificent Royal Opera House Muscat, a symbol of Oman’s cultural renaissance and architectural elegance.
In the afternoon, guests embark on a relaxing dhow cruise along Muscat’s coastline. Sailing past rugged cliffs and pristine waters, this peaceful experience offers a memorable farewell to Oman. Return to the hotel.
